Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No pets are strictly not allowed.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes, there is central air and there are fans as well.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: No, there is no fire pit and burning outdoors is forbidden.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and can accommodate 6-8 cars. If you will have more than that, please call.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 3:00 PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 10:00 AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: This community requires that you bring your trash to their compactor site, which is closed Tuesdays and Thursdays. Further information and hours of operation will be outlined in your Digital Welcome Book.

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A:  Yes, if you rent a home within a community you have access to its amenities. Please follow this link for more information on the amenities available.

WESTCOLANG LAKE INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: No, the home is not lakefront.

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: No, you may bring or rent a powerboat for boating on Lake Wallenpaupack ONLY. Westcolang Lake (Masthope’s private lake) does not allow visitors to launch powerboats. If you intend to go boating during your stay, please review the section in our General FAQ concerning the water levels to make sure your stay occurs within Lake Wallenpaupack’s boating season. 

Q: Where is the nearest boat launch?

A: Mangan Cove is the nearest public launch at Lake Wallenpaupack. The address is PA-590, Hawley, PA 18428 and it’s free!

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: 12 beds and a futon: 2 Queens, 5 Full, 2 Twins, 1 Bunk Bed with 2 Twins, 1 Futon.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 3.5 baths: 2 full with a shower tub, 1 half bath, 1 with shower and jetted tub.

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 7: 2 54” TVs, 1 small TV in master bedroom on main floor and 4 small TVs in each of the other bedrooms.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation at our rental properties to be as comfortable and fun as possible. We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as Netflix, DVD Player, Video Games, HDMI Ports, Smart TV, BlueRay, Cable, and Wi-Fi.

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: This house has Board Games, Air Hockey, Nintendo Game Cube for a great Family Game Night!

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

A: This property also has a Washing Machine, Dryer, an Iron/ Ironing Board, a Vacuum Cleaner, Hair Dryer, First Aid kit, Charging Plug and Hangers. 

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A:   The dining table seats 6 and there are 4 for outdoor seating.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 6 in the living room, 5 in the family room and there is a table in the family room that seats 4.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a gas one.

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: No, because you cannot make a fire and the fireplace in the home is gas.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane.

Q: Do we need to bring propane?

A: No, that is always included in our homes.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No.
