MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent these homes?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Yes.

Q: Do the houses have air conditioning?

A: Yes, there is Central AC

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes, all bed linens are provided

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No. We do however provide hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes there is a fire pit and burning is allowed outdoors. However, always make sure there isn't a burn ban in place before building a fire. You will need to bring your own wood.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the houses or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the houses!

Q: Is there parking at the houses? How many cars can we park?

A:  Yes there is private parking for up to 5 cars.  

Q: When is check-in?

A: 4:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 11:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Put in the cans provided. Pickup days are in welcome book at the house.

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: This is a private lakefront home.  There are no community amenities.

LAKE WALLENPAUPACK INFORMATION

Q: Is the home a lakefront?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: You may bring or rent a powerboat for boating on Lake Wallenpaupack. If you intend to go boating during your stay, please review the section in our General FAQ concerning the water levels to make sure your stay occurs within Lake Wallenpaupack’s boating season.

Q: What size boats can the lake/dock accommodate?

A: This property has a large "U" shaped dock that can hold one boat in the center and other water craft on the outside fingers.  Lake Wallenpaupack can accommodate any size boat with any motor. The docks always have at least 4 feet of water at their end, which is plenty of room for a large boat.

Q: Where is the nearest boat launch?

A: There is a launch for boats in the community however you may also launch at the public launch at Mangan Cove which is only 5 miles away  For more info, please check out our Boat Rentals/ Boating Info page.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock. 

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: 6 beds and a sofa bed: 2 queen, 4 twins and a sofa bed. 

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 2 full: 1 shower, 1 tub shower.

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 2 flatscreens, about 36’ each.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation to be relaxing and fun! We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as a DVD Player, Video Games (PS2), Cable, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. 

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: At Weichert Rentals, the leading source for vacations in Lake Wallenpaupack, PA, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies to ensure the best experience possible for you and your family. This house has:

Q: What other amenities does this house have?

A: This property also has a Washing Machine, Dryer, an Iron/ Ironing Board, a Vacuum Cleaner, Hair Dryer, and Hangers. There is a dog crate available for those with pets who prefer not to bring their own from home.  

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A: There is no specific dining room table but we have a folding table that opens and will accommodate up to 6 folding chairs provided. Our outdoor dining is much larger with a large outdoor table with 6 chairs and another picnic table that will seat 6. The breakfast bar in the kitchen has 3 bar stools.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A:   Main living room can seat 5.  Sunroom can seat 7.  

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a wood burning stove.  

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: Yes, for fireplace and outdoor firepit.  

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane

Q: Do we need to bring Charcoal?

A: No, we provide propane  

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: Yes, 1 standup paddle boards but there are no life jackets.
