MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes, there is one window unit in the living room. There is a ceiling fan in the living room and a box fan in the room upstairs.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: No

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes there is a fire pit but only after the water has gone down (about mid July) as the fire pit is below high water line on the shoreline of the lake. However, always make sure there isn't a burn ban in place before building a fire. You will need to bring your own wood.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and can accommodate 5 cars and a boat trailer. If you will have more than that, please call.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 4:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 11:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with my trash?

A: Place in cans provided in the garage and place at the end of the drive the night before trash pick up.   Information on trash pick up days will be provided in your Guest Book upon arrival.

LAKE WALLENPAUPCK INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: Yes, there is a dock you can use from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

You may bring or rent a small powerboat for boating on Lake Wallenpaupack. If you intend to go boating during your stay, please review the section in our General FAQ concerning the water levels to make sure your stay occurs within Lake Wallenpaupack’s boating season.

Q: What size boats can the lake/dock accommodate?

A: Lake Wallenpaupack can accommodate all size boats and motors but our dock is small so large boats may not fit well.

Q: Where is the nearest boat launch?

A:  Walts Landing or the Public Launch (Mangan Cove) are the two closest launches to this home.  You can find out more info on Boat Launches and rentals by clicking here. 

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: There are 2 full size beds and 2 queen. You may bring air mattress if needed or there are fold out foam pads someone can use.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 1 full bath with tub/shower combo

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 1 TV in living room with basic cable.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We provide some options for entertainment such as WiFi and HDMI Ports.   There is also an assortment of board games available.  

Q: What appliances and supplies does the kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

A: This property also has an Iron/ Ironing Board, a Vacuum Cleaner and Hangers.

Q: How much dining room seating is there?

A: The dining table seats 4-6.  There is an outdoor table with 4 chairs.  

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: Up to 6-8 people.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a wood burning fireplace but it is not usable.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: There is a propane grill and propane will be provided.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No water toys or life jackets but there are plenty of chairs.
