Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes this house has Central Air Conditioning.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes, there is a fire pit and burning is allowed outdoors. However, always make sure there isn't a burn ban in place before building a fire.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and it can accommodate up to 5 cars.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 3:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 10:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Masthope has a Central drop off location.  More information will be provided to you in your Guest Book prior to arrival.

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: Yes, you can purchase amenity passes when you register for $7 per day per person. You do not need to buy a pass for every day you are at the house, just the days you will be using the passes. You can purchase passes on the day you would like to use them if you do not want to purchase them ahead of time. Please follow this link for more information on the amenities available.

WESTCOLANG LAKE INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: No. 

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: No, Westcolang Lake (Masthope’s private lake) does not allow visitors to launch powerboats. Lake Wallenpaupack is within a half hour's drive if you're interested in powerboating.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.  Masthope has a private beach for it's owners and guests.  It is a sandy beach with life guards and swim are with 2 swim docks.  

Masthope allows use of small non motorized watercraft at the lake. The useage is first come first serve. You can ask about procedures when registering at the office upon arrival.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: This house sleeps 14+ people. There are 5 queen bed bedrooms, a loft with a full-sized Futon, and an air mattress for the kids. In the den area, there is a pull out bed with a queen size memory foam mattress.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A:  3 full.

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 3 Large screen TV's in living room and 5 additional in upper and lower bedrooms

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation at our rental properties to be as comfortable and fun as possible. Our TV’s are all Roku TV’s. We have DVD Players, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. 

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: This house has Mini Foosball, Ping Pong table, and a lot of Board Games.

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

Q: What other amenities does this house have?

A: This property also has a Washing Machine, Dryer, an Iron/ Ironing Board, Central Vacuum Cleaner, and Hangers. Outdoor amenities include 3 chairs and 1 bench, 2 picnic tables, child’s swing set.

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A: 6: dining room seats 6, Bar seats 4. There are 5 folding chairs. There is also a Childs booster seat that can be found in the lower level bedroom closet.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 6 in the living room and there is also more seating in the Den.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a gas fireplace on the main level and a propane stove in the lower level.

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: Yes. Wood can be purchased from almost any grocery store/gas station or convenience store along your way to the house.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane.

Q: Do we need to bring propane?

A: No, that is always included in our homes.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No.
