MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent these homes?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Yes.

Q: Do the houses have air conditioning?

A: Yes, each bedroom has an AC unit and there is a large wall unit in the kitchen/dining area.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Bed linens are included along with quilts/comforters and pillows.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No. We supply hand towels for kitchen and bath but you must bring your own personal bath and beach towels.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes there are two. One is a wood fire pit on ground level and a propane firepit on the deck. There is some wood provided from previous guests but you should plan on providing your own wood. We do not supply wood.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the houses or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the houses! Follow the driving directions in the Welcome Guide you will receive as well. The house is located on a corner so the GPS doens’t always recognize this.

Q: Is there parking at the houses? How many cars can we park?

A:  Yes there is private parking for up to 5 cars.  

Q: When is check-in?

A: 4:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 11:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Put in the cans provided in the garage. Pickup days are in welcome book at the house.

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: This is a private lake community.  There are no community amenities except for the boat slip and swim dock.

LAKE WALLENPAUPACK INFORMATION

Q: Is the home a lakefront?

A: No but it has a dedicated boat slip at the community area.

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: You may bring or rent a powerboat for boating on Lake Wallenpaupack. If you intend to go boating during your stay, please review the section in our General FAQ concerning the water levels to make sure your stay occurs within Lake Wallenpaupack’s boating season.

Q: What size boats can the lake/dock accommodate?

A: This property has boat slip that can accommodate up to a 24’ boat or 26’ pontoon boat. You must provide your own bumpers and ropes. Any damage done to the slip area will be charged to guests.

Q: Where is the nearest boat launch?

A: Capri Marina is the closest launch to our community.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Lake Wallenpaupack is safe to swim in. You can use the community swim dock but please be respectful of others using the area. This is for everyone in the community.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: There are 3 king beds, 1 queen and two twin beds. There is also a toddler bed in one of the king bedrooms and a futon in the family room on the lower level. 

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: There is a master bathroom on the main level in the master bedroom. There is a half bath on the main level and a full bathroom on the 2nd floor with the other 3 bedrooms.

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 1 flat screen TV in the living room with cable.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation to be relaxing and fun! We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as Cable, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. 

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: At Weichert Rentals, the leading source for vacations in Lake Wallenpaupack, PA, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies to ensure the best experience possible for you and your family. This house has:

A: The dining table sits 6 and 4 bar stools at the kitchen counter.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A:   Main living room has two large love seat couches. The Family room has futon and the 3 season room has Papasan chair and 4 other seats.  

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a wood burning fireplace.  

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: Yes, for fireplace and outdoor firepit.  

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane

Q: Do we need to bring Propane?

A: No, we provide propane  

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No you should bring your own.
