MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Yes.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes there are wall units in each of the bedrooms and in the family/game room downstairs.  There is also a whole house fan to keep main floor cool in the evening.  

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A:  Yes there is a nice fire pit in the back yard off the family room/game room.  

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and can accommodate 6-8 cars. If you will have more than that, please call.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 4:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 11:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Place in cans provided. Should be taken to central drop-off frequently.  Information on location and open hours will be provided in your guest book you will receive prior to your arrival.

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: Yes, if you rent a home within a community you have access to its amenities. Please follow this link for more information on the amenities available.

LAKE WALLENPAUPACK INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A:  This property has access to Cove Point community beach area.   It is a short walk to the lake from the house. There is no dock slip available, however, there is a marina close by to launch a personal watercraft and take out at the end of each day.  There is room at the house to store the boat when not in use.  

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: Yes, but there is no dock for the property. Capri Marina is the nearest boat launch. Click here for more information. 

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: 4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 14: Bedroom 1- 1 King, Bedroom 2- 1 Queen, 1 Double, 1 Single (The Double and Single are a Bunk Bed set), Bedroom 3- 1 Queen, Bedroom 4- 5 Singles.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 2.5 Bathrooms: 1 tub shower, 1 half bath, and the master has a tub/shower and a shower.

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 1 large flatscreen.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation at our rental properties to be as comfortable and fun as possible. We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as Netflix, a Smart TV, a DVD Player, a Stereo, a BluRay Player, Cable, WiFi, and HDMI Ports.   There is no local TV or cable.  

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: This house also has a Pool Table, Ping Pong Table, Shuffleboard, and Darts!

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A: 10 people: 6 at the table and 4 at the bar. There is also an outdoor seating area that sits 6.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 5 in the living room and 5 in the family room.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a propane fireplace.

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: Yes you will  need to bring for the outdoor fire pit.  

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane

Q: Do we need to bring propane?

A: No, that is always included in our homes.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No.
