MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No, except for service dogs.  Please consult agent. 

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes there is central air and there are ceiling fans as well.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes, there is a fire pit and burning is allowed outdoors. However, always make sure there isn't a burn ban in place before building a fire.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and can accommodate 6-8 cars. If you will have more than that, please call.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 3:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 10:00AM

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Masthope has a central drop off dumpster.  Please consult your Digital Guest Book upon arrival for times of operation.  

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: Yes, if you rent a home within a community you have access to its amenities. For this community, 8 passes come with rental and you may purchase up to 4 more at $5/day per person. Please follow this link for more information on the amenities available.

WESTCOLANG LAKE INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: No. 

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: No, Westcolang Lake (Masthope’s private lake) does not allow visitors to launch powerboats. Lake Wallenpaupack is within a half hour's drive if you're interested in powerboating.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.  Masthope has a private beach for it's owners and guests.  It is a sandy beach with life guards and swim are with 2 swim docks.  

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: 5 Bedrooms plus sleeping loft. Bedroom 1- 1 King, Bedroom 2- 1 Queen, Bedroom 3- 1 Queen, Bedroom 4- 1 King, 1 Pullout Futon, Bedroom 5- 2 Queen, Loft- 2 Singles. 

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 3 Bathrooms: master bath is handicap accessible with a roll-in shower, Bathroom on main floor is a shower, Bathroom on 2nd floor is a tub shower.

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 3 large flatscreen TV.  There is a 60" in the living room, 55" in  the family room downstairs and a 39" in the master bedroom.  

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation at our rental properties to be as comfortable and fun as possible. We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as a 200 channel cable,  a DVD Player, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. 

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: This house has an Air Hockey Table, Foosball Table, Games, and Children's Toys!

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

A: This property also has a Washing Machine, Dryer, an Iron/ Ironing Board, a Vacuum Cleaner, Hair Dry and Hangers. 

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A: 12 people inside and 12 people outside: 3 at the bar and 9 at the table.  If you have little children there is 1 highchair.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 6 - 7 people in the upstairs living room and 4 - 5 in the lower level family room.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a propane fireplace.

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: Yes if you will be using the outside firepit.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane.

Q: Do we need to bring propane?

A: No, that is always included in our homes.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No.
