MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes this house has Central Air Conditioning.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes, there is a fire pit and burning is allowed outdoors. However, always make sure there isn't a burn ban in place before building a fire.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The Welcome Guide will have coordinates that will take you right to the house! IF you use Waze or other map apps it may try and take you all the way around Powderhorn Drive instead of straight at the crossroads. It is a LOOP. So go straight at the crossroads (don’t turn right like the app might tell you to), the house will be the first house on your right.

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and can accommodate 5 cars. 

Q: When is check-in?

A: 3:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 10:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Masthope has a Central drop off location.  More information will be provided to you in your Guest Book prior to arrival.

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: Yes, if you rent a home within a community you have access to its amenities for a fee of $7/day/person for use of the lake, pool, fitness center and riding stables. All other community amenities are open for use. If you choose not to purchase the amenity passes, you are still welcome to enjoy the playgrounds, Riverfront access, ball fields, hiking trails, tennis courts, etc. 

WESTCOLANG LAKE INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: No. 

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: No, Westcolang Lake (Masthope’s private lake) does not allow visitors to launch powerboats. Lake Wallenpaupack is within a half hour's drive if you're interested in powerboating.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! is safe to swim in.  Masthope has a private beach for it's owners and guests.  It is a sandy beach with life guards and swim are with 2 swim docks.  

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: Sleeps 12-  There are 3 queens and 4 twins. Each bed has a set of sheets/pillows/comforters/blanket. There is a futon in the loft and a pull out sofa bed in the lower level. They do not have sheets provided.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A:  3 full - all have bathtubs

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: There are 3 TV’s. There is no cable. The master bedroom TV has Netflix. The living room TV has Netflix and other streaming options as well as games. The lower level TV is strictly for use of the DVD or you can bring an HDMI cable and stream from your tablet or laptop.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation at our rental properties to be as comfortable and fun as possible. We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as Netflix, a Smart TV, a DVD Player, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. We also have a Wii and XBox360 with accessories.

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: This house has a ping pong table. There is an electric keyboard up in the loft, a drum set in the lower level, Over the Door hoop game and lots of board games.

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

A: This property also has a Washing Machine, Dryer, an Iron/ Ironing Board, Hair Dryers, Multiple Vacuum Cleaners, Swiffer, Broom, Cleaning supplies, and Hangers.

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A: 10: dining room seats 6, Bar seats 4. There are folding chairs as needed in the bedroom closets.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 6 in the living room, 4 in the family room.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a wood fireplace in the living room.

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: Yes.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane.

Q: Do we need to bring propane?

A: No, that is always included in our homes.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: No.
