Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes, there is 1 ductless unit in the Great Room, a wall unit in the master bedroom and each of the three bedrooms on the main level have mini split units. There are plenty of ceiling fans for those other cooler days when you just want to open the doors and windows and feel the breeze off the lake.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes and there are sleeping bags are provided for the convertible chair beds.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes, there is a fire pit and burning is allowed outdoors. However, always make sure there isn't a burn ban in place before building a fire. You will need to bring your own wood.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a shared driveway and can accommodate 5 cars. If you will have more than that, please call.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 4:00PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 11:00AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: Place in the dumpster provided at the end of the driveway.

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: Yes. 

LAKE WALLENPAUPCK INFORMATION

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

You may bring or rent a powerboat for boating on Lake Wallenpaupack. If you intend to go boating during your stay, please review the section in our General FAQ concerning the water levels to make sure your stay occurs within Lake Wallenpaupack’s boating season.

Q: What size boats can the lake/dock accommodate?

A: This property has a large dock that can hold up to 2 boats and 1 jetski. Lake Wallenpaupack can accommodate any size boat with any motor. The docks always have at least 4 feet of water at their end, which is plenty of room for a large boat.

Q: Where is the nearest boat launch?

A: Ironwood Point or Ledgedale. For more info, please check out our Boat Rentals/ Boating Info page.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: 9 beds: 1 king, 2 queens, 2 twins, 1 full, 1 queen air mattress and 2 twin convertible chair beds.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 3 baths: 1 tub shower, 1 shower, and the master has a shower and a Jacuzzi tub

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 3 total: one 40” flat screen in the Great Room, one smaller flat screen in the master bedroom and one 36" in the bar area. The Great Room TV is a Roku TV with many streaming options with your own accounts. Bring a Fire stick or Roku to enjoy movies on the bar TV as it is not connected to cable.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as Netflix, a Smart TV, a DVD Player, a Stereo, a BluRay Player, Cable, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. 

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: Convertible Pool table, air hockey table and ping pong table!

There is also an outdoor bar that can be accessed from inside the house and from the lakeside of the house for your entertaining. The bar has a flat screen TV, mini-fridge, and the best views on the lake!

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has:

A: 16 inside and lots of outdoor bar seating: the dining table seats 8, the island seats 4, the bar seats 4.

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 11 people.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a wood fireplace and you'll need to provide  your own wood.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: There is a propane grill and propane will be provided.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: Yes, there are 2 kayaks and 1 standup paddle board. There are many assorted life jackets of all sizes. There are no beach chairs, though there is seating near the lake.
